Once a month, we open our gates to welcome visitors and staying guests to experience the simpler rhythms of Pepperina. You are invited to step into our 150-year-old heritage, slow cown, and share a morning connected to the land.
Children can wander the gardens, meet our animals, and find a sense of calm in the quiet, natural spaces of the farm. Visitors are welcome to pack a blanked, bring along a picnic, and settle under the old peppercorn trees for the afternoon. We also open our cafe on the day, serving simple, hot country food and coffee by the creek.
Because we are a living, working farm, our morning flows naturally depending on the seasons and the needs of our animals. A typical open farm day includes:
Morning farm rituals. Meet our feathered friends, explore the garden, and feed the goats, sheep, and cows across the road.
The creek and heritage walk. A guided stroll down to the historic timber sheds and the original pre-1877 sheep pens to hear stories of the property's early days.
Time with the horses. Spending a quiet moment learning how to handle and groom our horses.
Tractor hay rides. A slow rumble through the paddocks behind the tractor, experiencing the landscape from a different perspective.
We will also open our gates during the week for dedicated school visits. Children can safely connect with animals, learn the heritage of the land, and discover the calming textures of the Australian countryside.
