Our Story

Nearly 150 years of country life

Pepperina’s story reaches back to 1877, when George Foster established a sheep-farming property here at Halls Creek. 

The cottages our guests stay in today were originally built as accommodation for workers on the property. 

Almost 150 years later, they are still doing what they were built to do — providing a warm and welcoming place to rest after a day spent outdoors. 

We have worked to retain the character that makes them special, including details that connect the cottages to their earliest days, while adding the comforts expected by today’s travellers. 

But Pepperina is about much more than old buildings. 

It is about the landscape around them, the animals that live here and the generations of country life that have shaped this place.

The family behind Pepperina

We are Danielle and Grant, the people behind Pepperina FarmStay at Halls Creek. More than a place to stay, Pepperina is our home — surrounded by history, hand-raised farm animals, native birds, mountain views and beautiful Australian bushland.

We’ve created a welcoming and safe farm experience where families can reconnect with nature, meet our animals, explore the property and create lasting memories together.

For added peace of mind, we both hold current Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and National Police Checks (NPC).
